Infomaniak kDrive

Cloud Drive Switzerland

Swiss encrypted cloud drive with sync, sharing and office editing. Alternative to Dropbox and OneDrive.

Details

kDrive is a cloud file storage and sync service from Swiss provider Infomaniak. It offers desktop and mobile clients that keep files in sync across devices, link sharing with permissions and expiry, version history, and built-in OnlyOffice editing for documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Data is stored in Infomaniak’s own data centres in Switzerland under Swiss privacy law and the GDPR.

Teams evaluate kDrive on how completely it replaces Dropbox for everyday file work: reliable cross-platform sync, external sharing, and collaborative editing without a US cloud provider. The main trade-offs are a smaller third-party integration ecosystem and lighter enterprise-admin tooling than Dropbox.

About Infomaniak

Infomaniak is a Swiss cloud provider founded in Geneva in 1994. It sells web hosting, domains and public cloud alongside a productivity suite for people and teams: Mail, kDrive storage, kMeet video calls, kChat, the Euria AI assistant and SwissTransfer. Its terms say customer data is stored only in Switzerland, in data centres it owns; the company reports two of them, with 2 MW of capacity, running on renewable electricity.

The operating company is Infomaniak Network SA in Geneva, and contracts are governed by Swiss law with Geneva as the place of jurisdiction. On 1 October 2026 the group listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange through a reverse takeover of Perrot Duval Holding SA. It reported 337 employees, 2025 net sales of CHF 54.2 million and EBITDA of CHF 19.9 million, and it is a certified B Corp.
