Infomaniak kMeet
Video Calling Switzerland
European video meetings with browser access and private hosting. Alternative to Google Meet and Zoom Meetings.
Details
kMeet is Infomaniak’s video-conferencing service, free to use and open to anyone with a link. Meetings run in Chrome or Firefox, in a desktop app for Windows, macOS, and Linux, or on iOS and Android. It carries screen sharing with on-screen drawing, chat, virtual backgrounds, breakout rooms a moderator controls, a waiting room, meeting passwords, and Calendar integration. Recordings are written straight into kDrive.
Calls run on Infomaniak’s own data centres in Switzerland, under Swiss law and the GDPR, and the company is independent and majority-owned by its employees. Traffic is encrypted by those servers by default; end-to-end encryption is a choice made when the meeting is created, and works on current Chromium browsers and the desktop app but not on mobile.
Two things sit behind a paid plan. Participant numbers are unlimited on kSuite, and Infomaniak publishes no figure for the free tier. Live automatic subtitles need a moderator on kSuite Business or Enterprise, though once switched on, anonymous participants can use them too. Broadcasting a meeting as a public stream through Infomaniak’s Video Streaming is also paid-only. kSuite Pro runs CHF 1.76 per user per month for Standard, CHF 7.33 for Business, and CHF 13.83 for Enterprise.
Feature for feature it holds up against Google Meet and Zoom. What it has no equivalent for is the surrounding ecosystem — no third-party meeting-app marketplace, and no Workspace- or Teams-scale administration and compliance layer to inherit.
About Infomaniak
Infomaniak is a Swiss cloud provider founded in Geneva in 1994. It sells web hosting, domains and public cloud alongside a productivity suite for people and teams: Mail, kDrive storage, kMeet video calls, kChat, the Euria AI assistant and SwissTransfer. Its terms say customer data is stored only in Switzerland, in data centres it owns; the company reports two of them, with 2 MW of capacity, running on renewable electricity.
The operating company is Infomaniak Network SA in Geneva, and contracts are governed by Swiss law with Geneva as the place of jurisdiction. On 1 October 2026 the group listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange through a reverse takeover of Perrot Duval Holding SA. It reported 337 employees, 2025 net sales of CHF 54.2 million and EBITDA of CHF 19.9 million, and it is a certified B Corp.
